WELCA Ladies at Zion meet once a month on the first Tuesday afternoon for Bible Study and fellowship. During the winter months, they meet to tie quilts for Lutheran World Relief and in September they gather those quilts and Kits and send them off to Lutheran World Relief for ship around the world.

In October, Zion hosts a large Smorgasbord and raises money for church support and mission work. The ladies are known for their great cooking and have published several cookbooks over the years. The most recent cookbook celebrated Zion’s 150th anniversary and can be purchased by contacting the church office.

Wood Cutting Woodcutting for Interfaith Caregivers takes place early in the year. They supply firewood to those in Burnett County who need assistance heating their homes. Many loads of wood have been cut, piled and hauled.

Food BankEach month we help Yellow Lake Food Bank distribute food to people in our area who have food insecurities. We also have a collection box in the church for food to be taken to the Frederic Food Bank and the WELCA ladies in our church support the Salvation Army’s Backpack food program in our area schools.
